The fact is 68,853 more Florida workers have become unemployed since Bush took

office. There are 56,000 Florida manufacturing jobs were lost since Bush took office.

That 51 percent of Florida taxpayers will receive less than $100 from the

latest  Bush tax cut.  More Florida families will face a rising share of the National Debt Burden: $23,940 for each family over six years.

That 737,000 Florida children were abandoned by Bush and left out of the

Child Tax Credit. That 2,843,000 Florida residents have no health insurance.

That 315,500 Florida seniors are worse off under Bush’s Medicare

Prescription Plan. Florida Democrats are preparing for November election,

which will no doubt prove that  Florida is the battleground state once again.

Aid for Poor Students to Drop in 11 States
Eleven states will get less federal money for poor students next school year, while the 39 other states and the District of Columbia will get more, new figures show.
The dollar changes come about for two reasons: the use of new estimates of where poor students live, and overall spending increases in the federal aid program known as Title I. Under law, the Education Department is supposed to use the most current, reliable population data available in determining how to distribute more than $12 billion. So the agency has plugged in census data released last year, reflecting family incomes in 2000.
Lawmakers in some states have objected, saying that the estimates don't accurately reflect their school districts, and that poor schools will suffer as demands on them grow. Senators of both parties have asked the department to reconsider. It does not plan to do so.

The eleven states that will get less money are
Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Dakota, Ohio and Pennsylvania, based on preliminary estimates. The other 39 states are still are going to receive a lot less than what has been appropriated by congress Within all states, some school districts will gain federal money and some will lose, as intended to reflect shifts in population. The Bush
administration has failed to meet its promise to needy Schools For further documentation please contact  Judd Legum, deputy research director at the Center for American Progress. Federal spending on Title I hit a record $12.3 billion for the next school year, up more than $650 million in one year. But $18.5 billion was authorized under Bush's education law.

``It's going to be very hard for a lot of these districts to live up to the federal standards they must now live up to,'' Legum said.
Schools that receive federal poverty aid and fail to meet progress goals for at least two years get assistance, but they also face sanctions.
The federal money is meant to help disadvantaged kids in reading, math and other subjects.

Said Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., whose state will lose an estimated $26.5 million: ``I, for one, am going to fight this latest Bush education cut at every opportunity.''

Bush officials say that authorized spending levels were meant to be caps, not promises, and that the federal government has never put greater emphasis on helping poor students.

Sen. Norm Coleman, R-Minn., said that his state's reduction in money is the product of inaccurate population data. He said he will keep pushing Education Secretary Rod Paige and his team ``to understand that they need to change their policy on this matter... I am determined to work with my colleagues to find a way to remedy this
situation.''

Minnesota's total stands to drop from $117.7 million to $105.6 million. Other states will see sizable gains in funding, including Arizona, California, Florida, New York and Texas.

Puerto Rico also is affected by use of the new estimates, gaining $83.5 million.

I am responding for Dr. Blass. I, Jeff Fisher, Constitutional Progressive Liberal Democrat was present at the Palm Beach County Juvenile Court on September 22, 2004 representing David Blass and his father Dr. Piotr Blass. The judge was Peter Blanc.

I am requesting that everyone including the press to stay in touch with our legal team and with us as this dramatic story unfolds.  Press attention is again crucial for the proper resolution for this child and any other child in the State of Florida. It may in fact save the life of David Blass and 23 other children. Growing Together must be closed and the people who are operating it must be reported to the world for their crimes against children and humanity.

I am working specifically on this case because I was abused as a child mentally, physically and sexually and never received help because I lived in fear of reporting it. I will not allow that to happen to anyone else.

My opponent, Congressman Mark Foley has done absolutely nothing for us. We, Dr. Blass and I requested his services alongside with Congressman Clay Shaw's. Clay Shaw has remained on the sidelines. Mark Foley has informed us that it is not a federal issue, however Growing Together has claimed that Mr. Foley has endorsed their facility. He must come out openly against their crimes against children, which have already resulted in three documented suicides, documented gang rapes and student riots, the most recent, September 20th, and approximately eight month ago where the Lake Worth Police had to use shields to quell the riot.

Growing Together has also taken away the right of religion, (no Books of God or religious holidays), no American Flag, no Pledge of Allegiance, no phone calls or letters and no recreation, abysmal education with no accountability, isolation (torture) white rooms, physical abuse by some guards. Also there is staff member intimidating the children who is a convicted self-confessed DUI killer. Several others junior staff members are self-confessed felons and are in direct contact with these children. Mark Foley must know that Growing Together is stating, "The best parent is no parent." My philosophy and the Children's Rights Council, David Levy, Bob Graham, Lawton Childs, James Towey, Ken Eggleston and Piotr Blass and our legal team is
"The best parent is both parents."

In the past we were confronted with the fallacy that the best parent is one parent, Growing Together and the related cults have carried this fallacy it to an absurd extreme by insisting that the best parent is zero parent. In the future we will propose a Constitutional Amendment to protect parenting as a sacred right of association.

When Mr. Foley turned us down, he had sent throughout the district a flyer with John Walsh claiming he is a champion of children's rights. That is an outright bold lie.

Mark Foley picks his fights, fights that get him media attention and are easy to win or easy to claim that he doesn't have the support through the judicial system to win.  I let the fights pick me. I am a true fighter for human kind. I am happy to say that I am in the company of great men who have defended mankind. Gandhi, Moses, Jesus, Janusz Korczak, Malcolm X, John F. Kennedy, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Harry S Truman, Martin Luther King and Robert (Bobby) Kennedy are the greatest men who have ever walked on this planet. In other words, Mark Foley is the King of passing the buck instead of fighting like a man.

I am informing everyone that I have no choice but to take over Mark's Congressional District in order to protect the children throughout our nation. I know that the voters will confirm my new role with their votes on November 2, 2004.  We, Bob Graham, Poland's President Alexander Kwasniewski, Adam Michnick (nominated for Nobel Peace Prize), Janusz Weiss, Mike Razar (Harvard University), Wlodek Holsztynski, (father of parallel processing), Dr. John Post, Dr. Maxwell Reade (father of Affirmative Action in the United States from the University of Michigan), Betty Castor, Ken Eggleston, Fred Mascaro, James Hughes (top inventor at Motorola), our legal team (Barry Silver, Robert Montgomery, Philip Brutus, Howard Talentfeld, Karen Gievers, Annelies Mouring, Judy Hyman) and Charles Figley (close friend of Senator John Kerry). I also would like to thank, Anatol Blass and Oscar Blass from IBM, Rich Davis (Georgia Tech), Jack Levine (Floridian of the Year and head of the Coalition for Children and Youth), Congressman Robert Wexler, Congressman Alcee Hastings, State Rep. Mary Brandenburg, State Senator Jeff Atwater, State Representative James "Hank" Harper, County Commissioner Addie Greene, the FBI through its West Palm Beach office alongside myself are working as a collective group and trying to have David Blass released from Growing Together Inc. via the court system, DCF,( Phil Emenheiser, Kay Keller) and our local law enforcement agencies.

The legal abuses of Growing Together legal council are downright disgusting in how they are treating this child as if he were a threat to society. The person that was present today representing Growing Together is Heidi Perlett, her attitude, legal style and actions reminded me of Joseph Goebels. This is a scary revelation to think of since this is a woman who is supposed to be defending children. Attorney Barry Silver told Judge Blanc that Ms Perlett actions resemble more of being a prison warden that a defense attorney. Ms Perlett has been reported to the Florida Bar Association for her unethical actions.

David Lopez Blass was in drugged-like manner in the courtroom. His eyes were severely dilated and his walking pattern was small uneven steps that are symptoms of being under psychotropic drugs. However the courts still asked him questions under these conditions. This boy is being coerced to answer questions by staff pressure from Growing Together. The proof of pressure was that Growing Together had several staff members present in the courtroom. The best thing the court should have done is to take David into the judge's chamber and be asked questions by the judge and an independent psychological consultant.

“Values Spoken about, without any action taken, are just Slogans” 7/29/04
John Kerry Democrat Convention Acceptance Speech
During the coarse of this article you will read about actual how the Bush-Cheney Administration record on national Security, Education, Jobs, Health Care, Environment, the war on terrorism, and education falls far short of the image portrayed on the commercial your see ran by the Republican National Committee. In fact as you read on you will and further review this administration’s record. With a 2004 projected 450 billion deficit, I am sure If Newt Gingrich was asked does that size deficit represent his idea of fiscal conservatism. We know his answer is no. What value system does this administration represent? As record lows in world opinion would indicate this administration values are really
unacceptable to majority not only in this country but around the world.

Four months into the Bush-Cheney administration Bush repealed the
Regulation that Government contractors found guilty of defrauding the
Government would be
required to have their contracts terminated. Later in October 2001 he revoked that same regulation.

The Clinton Administration tightened contracting rules shortly before leaving office in 2001, instructing officials that repeated violations of federal laws would make a company
 ineligible for new contracts.
In addition to that corporations would be fined & they would receive a 3 year ban from receiving further contracts. Their subsidiaries would
be receiving the same ban.
Federal regulations require government contractors to have a “satisfactory record of integrity and business ethics”. The government can ban unethical companies from getting new contracts through a process called debarement.
Can anyone with a straight face say that the activities of Halliburton Bechtel or the other 8 firms mentioned have acted in an ethical way the past 4 years.
As a small percentage of the American population are aware that 10
different corporations (An English firm is on this list)
has paid more than 300 million for defrauding the United states
Government.
The Department of Defense gave Bechtel Corporation an initial grant of $34 million to begin rebuilding Iraq's power grid, power generation facilities water and sewer systems and airports.  The contract provides $680 million dollars for the first 18 months.  There were a multitude of accounting irregularities and or false billing for goods and services involved here.
In fact several months ago as reported on MSNBC News there are new fines to be imposed with the newest violations unveiled.

On March 25 2003 Kellogg, Brown & Root received an open ended contract to rebuild Iraq's oil fields. No other bids were submitted project. The army tried to avoid answering what the cost of the contract was. Eventually Congressman Henry Waxman was told the estimated cost of the contract would reach potentially 7 Billion (Nearly equal to the under-funding of the No Child left behind Bill)
Again many examples of fraud present here as well reported on Msnbc News recently they had employees reporting to work as supervisors for 12 hour days and doing absolutely no work and supervising no one as reported by the their own auditors.
In addition to the widely reported over billing of gas imported from Kuwait at $2.27 a gallon (Local Merchants where charging $1.00 a gallon) the Halliburton the parent company was charging $5.00 per army meal and increase from the previous company $3.00 fee. Several high ranking officials have admitted to taking $ 6 million dollars in kickbacks.
Haliburton paid $2 million in 2002 to settle charges it inflated costs on maintenance contract in the now defunct
Fort Ord base in California. It just seems
Northrop Grumman Corp., whose Vinnell Corp. subsidiary was awarded a
$48 million contract to train the new Iraqi Army last year. Northrop
Grumman has been penalized $191.7 million in the past four years,
including $750,000 paid to the Pentagon in 2000 in a case involving
allegations of providing faulty replacement parts for the JSTARS
airborne surveillance system.

American Internal Contractors paid $4.7 million in fines in 2002 after pleading guilty to bid rigging on a U.S funded water project in Egypt.

The United States is paying more than $780 million to one British firm (AMEC)
that was convicted of fraud on three federal construction projects and
banned from
U.S. government work during 2002, according to an Associated
Press review of government documents I read back in April.

Fluor Corp., which paid $8.5 million to the Defense Department in 2001
to settle charges it improperly billed the government for work
benefiting its commercial clients. The company did not admit guilt.
Fluor and AMEC created a joint venture that has $1.7 billion in

contracts to rebuild Iraq's electricity, water, sewer and trash removal
infrastructure.
There are dozens more examples to list but you get the picture.
This administration that is running on being strong on the idea of having a understanding of what constitutes a good value system has repeatedly giving a license to steal to at least 10 different government contractors.
Federal authorities also are investigating whether Halliburton broke the
law by using a subsidiary to do business in
Iran, whether the company
overcharged for work done for the Pentagon in the Balkans and whether it
was involved in an alleged $180 million bribery scheme in
Nigeria. The
company admitted in 2003 that it improperly paid $2.4 million to a
Nigerian tax official. Halliburton now takes in more than a Billion a month a month for
Iraq work this Year.
Now here comes the best part.
Joe
Allbaugh Bush's 2000 Campaign manager quit his job as Federal
Emergency management agency to start his own consulting firm Called New bridge Strategies. Their sole mission is to help American firms friendly to George Bush get contracts in Iraq.

The special interest groups get what ever they want from the Bush-Cheney Ticket. This administration not only looks the other way but encourages this kind of behavior by never terminating a contractor who is guilty of fraud bid rigging or delivering faulty military parts. In fact 10 different firms (including one British firm AMEC) have paid in excess of $300 million dollars in fines.

Today Congress ....All in one day...they were some how able to come up with the Funds for their own pay raise of $4,000.00 each!
Ol Roy had no trouble saying Yes...When it is for himself!
He has NEVER sponsored NOR Co-Sponsored our concurrent receipt bills, Broken Promises...Medical Care Bill HR. 3474 any of the Bills on SBP or any Bill concerning our Veterans Issues that I know of...If I'm WRONG...Please correct me!  I know that He claims to have worked on and Passed the concurrent receipt Bill HR.1588...But that was because we had them painted into a corner and there was no other way out...so, that added another 10 years on to our already earned retirement pay and phased it in over a 10 year period!

Special NOTE!
Notice that they had this Pay Raise attached to the Transportation and Treasury appropriations bill,  and by approving this procedural motion to debate  it,  Congress thereby voted to give itself a $4,000 pay raise next year!  They thought they had it hid away and no one would notice!
Just some more DIRTY POOL by our elected officials!  It is TIME for Them TO GO!

Subject: My own letter proves Springfield News-Leader is "fair and balanced"
To:maioan2001@yahoo.com
There has been quite a dialogue going on in SW
Missouri the last few
weeks... via letters to the editors of various papers
and via call
radio call-in shows... The record of our current
Congressman Roy
Blunt, and his lack of interest in public debate, has
been being
discussed and debated with increasing frequency among
the common
folks that live here in the Ozarks.

The Springfield News-Leader printed two more letters
today in an
AWESOME exaple of "fair and balanced"... one of them
was mine. The
most amazing thing is that they actually put a link to
http://www.opensecrets.org upon my suggestion that
people should
visit that site to discover how much money Roy Blunt
recieves from
corporate PACs.

http://springfield.news-leader.com/opinions/letters/0921-Fightingfo-

----------
ROY BLUNT:

Blunt doesn't need to debate

I read with amazement your editorial in the September
5 News-Leader
chiding Roy Blunt for staying in Washington, D.C.

His being in Washington, D.C. doing the people's
business is what we
pay Roy Blunt for. As you said, the only one that will
benefit from a
debate is his Democratic opponent.

We currently have two Democratic senators running all
over the
country trying to be elected to the presidency and
vice presidency.

They are getting their pay checks and doing nothing to
earn them.

I don't agree with Roy Blunt on some things (well,
actually, on a
substantial number of things). But he listens to
people when they
talk to him.

And I know his Democratic opponent stands for more
taxes and more
spending. That is the battle cry of the Democratic
Party.

So, shame on you for telling Roy Blunt that he should
not be earning
his pay.

Edward Sackett, Walnut Grove

Blunt helps out tobacco farmers

Re: "Rep. Blunt works hard for District 7" Sept. 7
Readers' Letters.

Ms. Willet wrote, "He is a voice for our farmers and
he addresses our
senior citizens' concerns." That statement is simply
untrue. Rep.
Blunt has done more for the tobacco farmers of North
Carolina than he
has done for the family farms of southwest Missouri.

As far as "addressing the concerns of seniors,"
Congressman Blunt
represents the pharmaceutical companies, who
contribute tens of
thousands of dollars to his campaign, more than he has
represented
the needs of senior citizens here in the Ozarks.

People should know that most of the money he spends in
campaigning is
not from individual donors, but from corporate PACs
such as the
National Beer Wholesalers Association, Pfizer
Pharmaceuticals and
R.J. Reynolds Tobacco.

A nonpartisan group called the Center for Responsive
Politics keeps
track of contributions all Congressmen receive
regardless of party
affiliation. You can find out exactly who spends money
garnering Roy
Blunt's favors at www.opensecrets.org.

Dear Friends,

I apologize for not getting out a Chair's Report on Friday, there was a system glitch in the blast email system. However, I included the information in today's correspondance.

News:

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those that have been affected by hurricane Ivan. We hope all of those capable of donating to the Red Cross will do so, please visit www.redcross.org or volunteer with the clean up effort in the panhandle –or in any  communities across the state that have been affected by storms over the past three weeks.

The Florida Democratic Party has decided not to appeal the recent judgment by the Florida Supreme Court allowing Ralph Nader on the ballot in November. Though the FDP respects the decision of the Supreme Court, we are disappointed in the behavior of Governor Jeb Bush and Secretary of State Glenda Hood in their maneuvering to keep Nader on the ballot, including ignoring a circuit judge’s ruling and directing the state’s lawyers to essentially argue on behalf of the reform party and Ralph Nader.

Upcoming Events

Donkeys Rock is coming! Donkeys Rock is coming!

On Tuesday, September 21st the second annual Donkeys Rock Tour will kick off at FAMU and FSU. The FDP and the Back to School Crew will be arriving on the FAMU campus at 11:00 to register voters and energize the students about voting for John Kerry for President and Betty Castor for Senate. The Crew will join the FAMU College Democrats and Students for Kerry group to meet and greet students with free pizza and give-a-ways. Following the stop at FAMU, the Donkeys Rock Tour will commute to the Florida State University campus—where they will participate in similar activities with the FSU College Democrats and Students for Kerry group.

Last year, we registered over 500 students on the FAMU campus. On the first day of classes at FSU this year, FDP staff, FSU college Democrat members, and Leon County Young Democrat and DEC members registered over 300 students to vote and had close to the same amount of people sign up to join the FSU College Democrats. History proves that tomorrow will no doubt be a tremendously successful day—and it is only the first of ten days of the Donkeys Rock College Outreach Tour.

The road to victory goes through the college campuses and we will continue what we started last year by registering even more students and signing up even more College Democrats. This year we will bring along with us special guests and celebrities to add to the excitement.

Come back to school with the FDP, join us at the college near you.  Please take a moment to visit www.DonkeysRock.com to find out when we will be in your town. If there is a university, community college or technical institute in your area and if the tour is not scheduled to be there, the staff of the FDP will be happy to help you plan an event of your own! Please contact Reggie Cardozo at RCardozo@fladems.com for more information on sponsoring your own Donkeys Rock event.

Senator John Kerry and Senator John Edwards to visit Florida

As we first reported last week, the future leaders of our country will both be our state next week. Here is there schedule, please plan to attend.

Tuesday, September 21

Senator Kerry will be in Jacksonville for a Town Hall meeting beginning at 1:30 at the Prime Osborn Convention Center.

Senator Edwards will be hosting a Health Care Town Hall in Tampa that will start 1:30.

And that evening both Senator Edwards and Kerry will be in Orlando for a rally at the T.D. Waterhouse Arena. The rally starts at 9.

Wednesday, September 22

Senator Kerry will travel south to West Palm Beach for a Town Hall meeting that will start at 12:00 at the Palm Beach Convention Center across the street from

City Place
.

Senator Edwards will be hosting a Town Hall Meeting in Miami at the Caleb Center at 10:30.

Let’s make the next Kerry and Edwards feel at home in our state by making their visits as successful as possible. If you live close to one of the events plan to come out and attend—call your friends and family to invite them to come along too. We have less then 50 days to victory and the time to start building momentum is now.

I hope to see you on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Outreach Program Update

Jewish Americans for Kerry

We are in the process of building our State Jewish Leadership teams comprised of prominent national and local leaders in our communities.  I am pleased to share with you that we have just hired Jodi Bock and Charles Glick to head up our Jewish outreach in Florida.  Jodi and Charles will bring in national and local surrogates for the campaign to speak at local events and debates, as well as provide you with important information relating to John Kerry and the Jewish community.

John Kerry’s record on Israel is second to none, and he is committed to the important domestic issues that have always reflected the best values of our community.  In order to promote this message, we need your help. You are our eyes and ears on the front lines.  You will play a critical role in alerting us to issues and concerns on the horizon in your communities.

Together, we will fight to ensure that Senator Kerry receives the overwhelming support from our community that he so deserves. Please contact our Jewish leadership team if you wish to help us with this effort at jobocka75@yahoo.com or 954-848-0053.

Souls to the Polls

We are continuing to recruit local volunteers to help with the Souls to the Polls Program. Please email Tamia Booker at TBooker@fladems.com for more information.

Cutting with Kerry

Last week James received quit a few emails of Barber Shops and Salons that you wanted to see added to our list. This week, the plan is to finish the list and begin contacting the shops. For more information, or to ad your favorite salon or barbershop, email James Davis at JDavis@fladems.com.

Have a safe week and keep up the good work in helping win back the White House!

Chairman

Dear Mr,. Cardozo:

My name is Diane Smith, I have a local Donkey's Rock Event planned here in Highlands County.  It wouldn't be at a college campus, but the students would be invited and would attend.

I would also like to request a schedule of Donkey Rock events, or a web site where I can find same. For some reason, my email couldn't copy the schedule in my email from fladems.com

Last saturday night, September 18, 2004, Jeff Fishher, (D) Congressional Candidate, stopped outside a local club at closing time. He received a very positive response.  Some of the kids said "Why are you here? )as in "to see us). Jeff's answer was because he wanted to know what their concerns were, and how they felt about the current situatution. They had quite a bit to sayt. He would be a valuable asset to you if have any Donkey's Rocks in his District (16). The young people expressed a great interest in learning more about Jeff and the other Candidates.
I have a Donkey's Rock Event (in the works) with a well-known Local D.J. and a guest appearance by another one. They both have great following.

I have the place, the entertainment, vendors, the Candidates would all be there from U.S. Congress to local Sheriff. I'd like to accomplishe three main objectives:
I'd like to register the young people who aren't already registered. (I have registered several on my Voter Registration Drive in August).
Introduce themto their Democratic Candidates and lest them ask questions of them
And, last, but most definites not least, I'd like to get a Young Dems Club started
For the last 1 12 hours they could just "jam" and have a good time. They'll remember the Democrats in November.
I believe the young people can swing the vote in Highlands County .I beleive that are an untapped resource that the Democratic Party really needs. Remember, it was Bill Clinton that first started to tap that resource and we all know  what his results were!
My only obstacle $450 for event insurance (Isn't that too often the case with us Democrats). I can provide everthing else.  Would you know if and where I might be able to get help with that aspect? And if I can acquire some "Donkeys Gear" to hand out?
Thanks for taking the time to read my email, and best of luck on your Donkeys Rock. I believe they can swing the vote in November Florida, and indeed, the Nation.

Politically yours,

Diane S. Smith, Highlands County Campaign Mgr. for
Pauline New Born, (D) Candidate for State Rep., District
77.,  website paulinenewborn.com   and;
Highlands County Civil Rights Advisor for, Jeffrey Fisher,  (D) U.S. Congressional Candidate, District 16.  (Yes. he's running against Mark Foley!)  Everyone who meets him, loves him!  Jeff is very enthusiastic and it's contagious. I believe the young people could really swing him in his District. His website is::
walkingwithfisher.com

I am on the Highlands County DEC also.

Its a shame you have a bad attitude toward basic human rights.

You are not alone in this country.

You share your attitude with President Bush, Congressman Clay Shaw, Congressman Tom Delay, Congresswoman Katherine Harris, Congressman Mark Foley, Vice President Dick Cheney and U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft.

Congratulations on joining this select group. It must be a great honor to be in the top seven. When the next five people join with your ranks then the Dirty Dozen will be complete.

I will be placing your name along with Straight Inc. (aka Growing Together) on my political web site. You see Mr. Smoller, I am a champion for children's and human rights, including yours. It disgust me to have to defend you but I want the world to know that you have the right to speak your mind in America. I am a defender of the ACLU and the hardest part in a Democracy is defending someone, something or some idea that is not popular yet needs protection thanks to the laws written by our founding fathers set into place by the U.S. Constitution.

Weekly Rant

Subject: My Weekly Rant

Dear DIANE,

South Dakota Republicans:  Recycle Here

I always thought conservatives were averse to the importance of recycling.  But, when it comes to campaign tricks, they deserve a green star.

Just one year after 9/11, the Republicans compared Vietnam War hero Senator Max Cleland, who lost 3 limbs volunteering for service to his nation, to Osama bin Laden in a campaign ad. They recycled that same smear against Senator Tim Johnson while his son was serving in Afghanistan, and now they're using it again to try and tear down another veteran, Senator Tom Daschle. Some South Dakota veterans have urged Republican candidate John Thune to call for his state party chairman's resignation. This comes after he wrote a letter saying that Daschle had "brought comfort to our enemies."1 The veterans have it right: Thune should step up to his patriotic plate and take some responsibility for his surrogates' remarks. But when Tim Russert gave him the chance to do so on Meet the Press, Thune instead went one step further than the Republican attack machine and said that Tom Daschle "emboldens the enemy."2

'That Little Issue' in Alaska

If hiring an actor from Utah to pose as an Alaskan in a TV ad doesn't prove that Republican Senate candidate Lisa Murkowski is out of touch with issues that matter to her state, you need to check out her latest mishap. While setting up a press conference at an Exxon gas station with NRSC Chairman Senator George Allen, a chuckling Murkowski reminded Allen of "that little issue" otherwise known as the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill... "that little issue" which devastated Prince William Sound with 11 million gallons of crude oil... "that little issue" which was the largest oil spill in US history... "that little issue" of Exxon continuing to evade court-ordered payments due to the people of Alaska.

You'll have to to judge for yourself just how out of touch Murkowski is with Alaska. Click here to listen to the new Tony Knowles ad in response to this incident on the DSCC Ad Page.

After Mel's Extreme Makeover, a Make-up With McCollum

After weeks of refusing to support his Republican primary rival, Mel Martinez who ran such a nasty campaign that Governor Jeb Bush had to intervene, Bill McCollum finally issued a reluctant endorsement, "I remain deeply disturbed by the last minute negative Martinez campaign tactics that grossly misrepresented my views on social issues and appealed to the worst in people... Mel has apologized to me. I accept that, and I hope this never happens again."

It sounds like Bill is having a hard time forgetting. After all, who could forget what the St. Petersburg Times called "bigotry" spewed by Mel against McCollum during the primary?... "hateful and dishonest"3 statements like:

  • "the new darling of the homosexual extremists"
  • "courting the anti-Christian, homosexual lobby"
  • "anti-family" 4

As every woman knows, there's only so much make-up can do to disguise a big blemish like that one-even if you do belong to the same party.

Coburn, You May Think You're Good, But You're Definitely Not God

Republican Senate candidate Tom Coburn can't control his own mouth, but he wants to control people's destinies. A woman who filed a medical malpractice suit against Tom Coburn 13 years ago revealed this week how he took her ability to create life into his own hands by sterilizing her without her consent: "He needs to realize he's not God. He changed my life forever."5

These disturbing revelations come from a man who endorsed fellow rhetorically-reflexive Republican Senate candidate, Alan Keyes for President over George W. Bush in 2000. Maybe Coburn would have endorsed Bush had he known of his support for "OB/GYNs to practice their love with women all across this country."6

In South Carolina, the DSCC is setting the record straight on Republican Jim DeMint's radical plan to impose a reckless and irresponsible 23% national sales tax on all South Carolinians with a new TV ad. Visit the DSCC Ad Page to view the ad.

We've also heard that someone dressed up as an orphaned "Billy the Bill" has been following around Jim DeMint to remind voters of H.R. 25, the 23% tax bill he co-sponsored in the House of Representatives. Why is Jim DeMint ashamed of me?" asked Billy. "I'm his baby. ... I used to be his pride and joy. He took me to the Heritage Foundation and bragged about me. Now he acts like I don't even exist." Click the link above to see how Jim DeMint is planning to overhaul a decades-long commitment to building a progressive tax structure.

In South Dakota, instead of disavowing third party advertising as Democrat Tom Daschle has done, John Thune has pulled out the red carpet for the national Republican attack machine to embark on a slanderous offensive. Meanwhile, Senator Daschle has maintained his strong and steady leadership in the campaign by airing positive ads like the one featured on the DSCC Ad Page.

In Colorado, Republican Pete Coors re-committed himself to running a clean campaign:

"I'm opposed to negative advertising.  I've always been opposed.  I said I was opposed.  I'm gonna do this campaign on the basis of the issues and I will run a clean campaign..."7

But just 96 hours later, Coors broke that promise by launching a deceptive ad, full of distortions about Ken Salazar's record on tax relief.  It's no wonder CBS 4 in Denver describes Coors's "cheap labeling tricks" as "laughable" and "juvenile name-calling."8  Meanwhile, Ken Salazar went on air with an ad exposing Coors's real Achilles' Heel:  'Experience Money Just Can't Buy."  Visit the DSCC Ad Page to view the ad.

Do I hear an ...echo...echo...echo...echo???

Yep, you heard it here first.  The LA Times echoed a sentiment DSCC Chairman Senator Corzine shared with you last week:  that the Republicans were dragging their dirty campaign tricks onto the Senate floor to score Election Day points with voters.

"The Republican-controlled House and Senate have begun taking up bills, not with any expectation they will become law, but with the intention of stoking the presidential campaign and energizing the party's political base...The majority party will try to produce votes that can be used for campaign fodder."9

I'd hate to say, 'told you so,' but we knew all along that the Republicans would want to capitalize on wedge issues instead of working on a real legislative agenda.

"Skin to Rip and Blood to Flow"

In case you missed this, without so much as one second of consideration - without even seeing the letter-Richard Burr's campaign (R-NC) turned down an offer from Democrat Erskine Bowles to ban negative ads.

Not real surprising after Burr told The Hill last week that he was prepared to let "skin to rip and blood to flow" in the final weeks of the race.  Apparently, Burr has been so far behind for so long he sees no other way to win than for "skin to rip and blood to flow." 10

For the record, Burr has also rejected offers from Bowles to ban 3rd party ads and to ban negative ads.  The very next day, Burr kept his word and launched his "blitzkrieg" with a false TV ad.

At least Burr is 'on message' with the rest of the Republican candidate lineup...the Chicago Tribune reported Alan Keyes's campaign plans "to make 'inflammatory' comments 'every day, every week' until the election... and likened it to a war in which lighting the 'match' of controversy was needed to ignite grass-roots voters."11

This reminds me of Tom Coburn's comments that compared the Oklahoma Senate race as "a battle for the culture of America" and the "battle of good versus evil."12  I guess the Republicans are busy fighting so many wars, they can't stay focused on the real one:  the war against terror.

Just When you Thought it was Safe to go Back in the Water...

Keep your eyes on Democrat Chris John in Louisiana.  Because in Louisiana, it ain't over 'til it's over.  I mean, really over.  Unlike other states, Louisiana will hold an open primary on Nov. 2.  If no one candidate receives 50% of the vote, as is likely, the top two candidates will advance to a Dec. 4 run-off.  So, expect to hear me rant from my Thanksgiving dinner.

Shout out to the Bloggers...

And to all of my blogger friends who have raised so much money for the DSCC and our candidates throughout the country:  a big thank you-for supporting us, the cause to win back the Senate and spreading the word about what's at stake this year.

Republican Blooper of the Week

Too many mishaps from the Republicans to mention this week, but this one was clearly the winning blooper.  Republican Senate candidate Mel Martinez opened a fundraising plea to Floridians with, 'hope you enjoyed the summer like we did!'  Well, Mel, I guess you had yourself a ball, partying with Republican insiders at the Republican National Convention in New York.  But Mel, you must have really low expectations of people's memories in Florida.  First, you expect them to forget about the bigoted campaign you ran against fellow Republican Bill McCollum in the primaries.  Now, you expect them to forget about 3 hurricanes that marked the summer of 2004??  Like McCollum, I think they'll forgive, but they won't forget.

“Values spoken about without any

action taken are just slogans”

Part 3

The claim this administration makes that it cares about the future of your child’s education is a fraudulent one.

Bush’s vaunted “no child left behind” program during the past 4 years has allocated 30 billion dollars less than congress has authorized for the law. Under this program that requires increased testing and penalizes schools where the increased testing and penalizes schools where the scores don’t improve the programs for the disadvantaged students take the hardest hit. The budget this year was under funded by 7.2 billion. Next years proposed 2005 budget is 9.4 billion. In fact Bush’s 2005 budget sends 38 federal educational programs to the chopping block for a total of 1.4 billion in cuts. The department of education’s failure to provide funds for his reforms has prompted a voice of protest from even republican controlled legislatures like Utah, Virginia and Oregon. In fact legislatures in at least 17 states have endorsed bills protesting the law. Back in February of this year at the National Governor’s Conference all 50 governors signed a petition acknowledging the fact the Bush Administration intentionally under funded the no child left behind law.

I am sure sort of behavior exhibited by the Bush-Cheney administration does not reflect the values of a majority of the parents who have children in school.

Around the country most states are feeling the budget crunch. This past year Oregon was forced to cut $300 million in cuts in school funding. (There was a measure from an income tax increase that would have covered that budget shortfall but “Citizens for a Sound Economy” lobby group led by former House majority leader Dick Army helped kill that initiative. According to the Seattle Times article that tax increase would have cost a household whose income was $45,000 about $36 a year. Mr. President I know you don’t have your calculator handy that’s about $3.00 a month. What a champion for education that Dick Army is. Dick Army’s mother named him right.

Another republican who doesn’t place a value on a good education. I don’t believe this administration’s track record on education  represents Arizona’s Senator John Mc Cain’s, New York’s Governor George Pataki’s or former New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman’s values. I wish I could understand why they are silent? I am sure the sort of behavior exhibited by this administration in regards to the education issue does not reflect the values of a majority of parents who have children in school. Because of that ballot measure campaign to repeal the tax package I mentioned (that tax increase was made necessary because of Bush/Cheney decision to shortchange Oregon) the future of education is not a bright one.

The student teacher ratio in Oregon is up by more than 20% since 1996…. when the ratio was 25 to 1. That ratio has now ballooned to more than 30 to one.  In fact in Hillsborough County in Oregon classes are sometime numbering between 35 to 45 students. In fact, although this is happening a few other  districts around the country, Students must now pay $175 per student to participate.

Insert Florida Statistics here.

Even Start Program : The official 2005 Bush/Cheney budget cut is $247 million. That essentially eliminates that program. This program is for parents and children’s in poor families to improve their reading skill.

In 2002 Bush praised even start praising even start work as incredibly in important. As I am writing this I am hearing the music of the “Texas two step”. To be honest I really believe Bush believes that the education of their children is not important and will ignore his record on education.  It’s no wonder that Even Start is facing extinction. Cheney when he was a member of the congress during the late 70’s  and most of the 80’s was one of a 10(Ten) congressman who voted against the creation of heard start. That means that more than 90 percent of the congressman voted for the creation of this program back in the early 80’s.  It stands to reason that if Cheney was in the pocket of special interest even while he was a congressman. Needless to say 100% of the democrats voted for this bill. To understand the mindset of V.P. Cheney a closer examination of his record is needed.

Cheney was one of only 27 republican congressmen who voted to oppose funding for head start later in his career.  In 1981 Cheney voted to freeze funding for Higher Education programs.

In 1985 Cheney twice voted against the bill to reauthorize College Aid for Students this time 67 congressmen this was before  Bush created the slogan “we are compassionate conservatives”….. Most Republican congressman have not said that is anything constructively wrong with the Bush-Cheney record on education.

Just review Cheney’s voting record and you understand why when Bush states is the “education president” and it rings a little hollow… just remember it is the puppet master Dick Cheney who is more pulls his strings!

The Javit’s Program (named after  U.S. Senator  from N.Y. Jacob Javits) :  The gifted kids program and talented people for

gifted is being fazed out(108million)with the program receiving funding for 11million. That program’s as of Wednesday closed and in the past has helped minority’s and programs for gifted, disabilities students. This therefore eliminates the javits. Program. This program both also limits or eliminates  programs involving mostly minorities, gifted children or children with disabilities.

Just another republican who doesn’t place a value on a good education. I don’t believe this administration track record on education  represents Arizona’s Senator John Mc Cain’s, New York’s Governor George Pataki’s or former New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman’s values. I am sure the sort of behavior exhibited by this administration in regards to the education issue does not reflect the values of a majority of parents who have children in school. Even Start the official 2005 Bush-Cheney budget proposed cut is $247 million. That essentially eliminates that program. This program is for parents and children in poor families to help improve their reading skills. In Bush’s own words back in February of this year he stated this was a program was not on the top of his list of programs that needed more funding. In 2002 Bush praised even starts work as incredibly important. As I am writing this I am hearing the music of the “Texas 2 step”.

The foreign language assistance program faces a proposed $17 million cut that essentially eliminates that program. The arts in education program proposed cut is $35 million that eliminates that program.

The Vocational Education program has had its fair share of cuts and now anticipates a $316 reduction in its budget next year. That represents a 20% reduction for federal funding for job training program. Sort of contradicts the Bush Agenda for America  commercials doesn’t it. That commercial makes the promise that Bush is for increasing funding for job training for the unemployed American worker.

The drop out prevention program proposed cut is  $5 million. That eliminates that program.

Bush Turns His Back on Military Families In a Time of Sacrifice

Bush Cited "Obligation" to Children of Military Families. "Our men and women in service put their lives on the line to defend our freedom," Mr. Bush said. "We have a special obligation to rebuild the schools that educate their children. As president, I will ensure that this obligation is met." [New York Times, 8/22/00]

Bush's Budget Would Cut $200 Million From Impact Aid, The Program That Helps Fund Education For Children In Military Families. Bush's 2004 budget cut $200 million from Impact Aid, a program that helps military children receive a quality education. While Bush requested $1.2 billion for the entire Impact Aid program, most of that funding when to non-military groups. The military portion of Impact aid would fall in Bush's budget from $635 to $435 million. These cuts were not the only ones Bush had in store for military families. Bush's latest tax cut failed to extend a child tax credit to 200,000 low-income military families. Military housing programs were cut from $10.7 to $9.2 billion and veterans benefits were cut an astonishing $14.6 billion over ten years. The best lawyer in the world just joined our legal team
defending David Lopez Blass
Robert Montgomery  is the man who put big
Tabacco companies on their knees permanently.
He is the number one champion of Florida needy kids.

I feel confident that David Lopez Blass
and all the gt kids will now have a future
worthy of the USA.

I know that DCF will enjoy this incredible boost
of Robert Montgomery defending David Lopez Blass

and all gt kids pro bono.

The heart of America is good!
We shall overcome.
Praise the Lord.
Psalm 100.

The Bible hating ,mom hating, dad hating,US Constitution hating,
US Flag hating atheistic, communistic cult that has been
killing our kids for so long will finally cease.
David Lopez Blass shall be free at last
free at last,God Amighty free at last
as will all the cult victims.
Please write to Robert Montgomery Jr to thank him and to
pray for him as we break the powers of darkness and abuse
here in Florida and soon all over the USA

With Love
David & Dad
Dr Piotr Blass

gt and abusers actually claim that the kids want to be at gt.
Why then the locks and the keys and the bullet proof windows
and the guards all day.
Are they to keep the gt kids out.
NO THEY ARE TO IMPRISON THE KIDS OBVIOUSLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear People of Good Will
Let me start with good news:
Our pressure worked and I was able to wish David Lopez Blass
and the whole group of gt kids Shana Tova Ve Hatima Tova.

This was received very well by all the kids and by some parents as well.

David Lopez Blass gave me a broad wonderful smile that showed pride
and happiness that we won this victory.
Thank you foley,wexler,shaw,graham,balfour,luci hadi,walsh,ressler,pat grise,
atwater, brutus, kathy from dcf ,all dcf staff, lisa marshall, bill nelson, fisher!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,all the angels that  called about the jewish holidays and gave gt no choice but to allow it.
God Bless America.
Antisemitism just does not fly here  in the good old USA.

David Lopez Blass was raised on biblical values and saw
the movie "The Ten Commandments" numerous times when he was
a little kid.
Let my people go!

Also David Lopez Blass wished me a happy birthday although
I was initially told by Laura Hughes that you have to be on phase
two to wish your parent a happy birthday.
That can be 18-48 months without a birthday wish.
The cult philosophy: The best parent is no parent
CRC and my philosophy: The best parent is both parents.

David lopez Blass is incredibly brave and loving.

He looked roughed up.He had an enormous tear on his knee
in his beige pants.
I was not allowed to ask how the tear arose.
DCF please make it part of your investigation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

David Lopez Blass needs a haircut .He looks like a movie actor
from Count of Monte Christo with very long hair.

DCF how about a nice haircut for David Lopez Blass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my treat of course.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He has a court date on Sept 21 and it is his constitutional  right to look his best
for the judge and to get out as soon as possible from the clutches of the gt cult.

**********************************************************************************************

Negatives:DCF was not in evidence at the meeting and again
we had several serious violations of children's rights.
Several small kids under ten years old were present while very
adult topics were discussed.
gt is not just a cult it is also a hellish mess incapable of providing babysitting
for small sibling kids during adult sessions when substance abuse
and risky bahaviours are graphically described.
Thus the little kids get a helping of adult topics which is very
unhealthy and also illegal in the State of Florida.

Is gt hoping to snag these little kids in the future as "clients".
Pat Allard MBA business needs new recruits?
(By the way she was not there today. I am almost sure that Luci Hadi
fired her as her first official act in office as DCF Secretary.
Dream on Blass dream on Florida
that will be the day).
My friend Agnieszka Holland is an Oscar winning movie director.
She is making a horror movie about cults.
I will ask her to hire Pat Allard MBA and Carrie Ferguson as
star actresses.
The old gt house decrepid and dirty and scary can be used as atelier.

Mel Sembler the 75 year old sponsoring milionaire of Straight Inc
the parent cult of gt  will provide the political backdrop
and explain to the American public why this hellhole has been
torturing kids for 15 long years and how several kids died
and how a gang rape was committed and how police with riot
shields had to fight desperate kids.
And how the Bible, looking at your Mom and Dad,a good book
came to be known as rule violations.
How Christmas was taken away from gt kids for 15 long years.
How David and Dad restored Jewish Holidays after 15 long years.

Good old Mel will explain all that and quite a bit more...

Recently some of Mel's old client victims went through his garbage
on the west coast of Florida and offered some disgusting items
for sale on e bay for 300k.
Kids do fight back in their own way.

Let me finally express my awe at David Lopez Blass and the gt kids
in general.They are awsome!!!
Pat Allard MBA has no chance to break these brave kids
not with locks,rules,white rooms,brainwashing,psychotrpic drugs,
convicted dui killers.

I was moved to tears when some jewish gt  kids recited the shma israel
with me tonight and were rushing me to show off their
bar mitzva and bat mitzva skills.
These kids are hungry for the Lord not for the gt atheistic cult
that denies them the Bible and the Koran and all books except
the poisonous Big Book trash from Alcoholics Anonimous.
These kids want to go to college want to have a life.

THERE IS NOT ONE AMERICAN FLAG IN THE BIG ASSEMBLY HALL
AT GT
I HAVE NEVER SEEN AN AMERICAN FLAG OR HEARD THE PLEDGE
OF ALLEGIENCE AT GT

DCF PLEASE FIX THAT TOMORROW

ALL PEOPLE OF GOOD WILL
DONATE SEVERAL AMERICAN FLAGS TO THE GT KIDS
MAKE SURE THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIENCE AND THE AMERICAN
ANTHEM ARE RECITED AND SUNG EVERYDAY

They are not POW s they are our American kids
This is not North Korea it is the USA

DCF please stop that at gt today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*************************************************************************************************

Also we have a return to gt humiliating a teenager who was a victim
of a terrible crime in front the whole group.

This is classic Straight Inc gt horrible tradition.
This is the stuff that future suicides are made of.

This is why 10 years after leaving gt a girl is still suffering fro PTSD
caused by the cult.
DCF must stop this form of public humiliation cruelty now!
Steve Walsh and Timothy Ressler please step up
your investigation.
Are Pat Allard MBA and Carrie Ferguson really gone already.

let us redouble our efforts: the bricks are beginning to shift
there is sunshine on the horizon
David Lopez Blass shall be free soon
Gt kids will have a better future soon
Happy New Year
Hatima Tova
Piotrek
Dr Piotr Blass

CRC Margherita Downey formulated a terrific
constitutional amendment to protect good parenting

that will come later
I am meeting Bob Montgomery's people in the morning
to help David
need some sleep
